So, I go and install Wordpress 'cause my new host makes it so easy. Kaitlin said that migrating from Blogger was easy-peasy. OK, she really didn't say "easy-peasy." So I try it out. Doesn't work. Search wordpress.com for instructions. It seems that their importer doesn't work with the new Blogger. But there is a workaround. It requires manually importing everything from blogger to Wordpress 1.5 (or something). Yes, you must install an older version of Wordpress in order to import your Blogger blog into Wordpress. And even then it's not a walk in the park.

So, I won't be changing any time soon. At least until Wordpress makes their importer work with the new Blogger and my host supports that new version.

Just wanted to warn other people who might be thinking of switching to Wordpress from Blogger.

Aww, Adam, I'm so sorry! I didn't even think about the new version of blogger with it....although I'm surprised there isn't a plugin....

Off to find one. Or make one for my friends who are still on blogger and need to move to Wordpress. Okay, I can't make one...yet. But it's worth a shot.

Hey, it's not a big deal. At all. Blogger works. I don't know what I'm missing so I'll be blissfully ignorant until there's an easy way.

It's just a little slow to post sometimes. But since it's on my site (always has been) it's always available.

Just an FYI, it is Wordpress.org that you want not .com. I found that out after the fact too.
