Full Version: Issues with Beta 2.5

So I've downloaded Beta V2.5 and when I imported my templates they won't work. I choose a template and it plays music that doesn't even go with that template. Any ideas?

I tried going back into V2.0 and I keep getting errors when I try to bring in my images. The error message says "the folder already exists". It even happens when I change the folder name.

Do you have both apps installed at the same time? I have heard there were a lot of errors when both were installed at the same time. Try uninstalling 2.0 and then install 2.5 Beta and see how that goes.

If 2.5 craps out, can I go back to 2.0 (should I just save 2.0 to another drive - externally so that the system doesn't see it)?

this is common when any 2 same software programs are installed together. i could use my presets, scripts etc on photoshop because i had cs3 beta and cs2 running on the same system, and im sure its the same reason for showit web. you should drop DJ a PM or give him a ticket. hes really helpful and will advise you exactly what to do, as its his own software after all.

I would suggest downloading the full release and not using the beta. I believe the full release allows you to have both versions installed. smile.gif

I am having a dog of a time with my embedded show.

Here is the show as it should appear, with the new 2.5 interface -

http://www.seshu.net/showit/amiejim_siw/

When I embed it, I use the following code generated by SIW 2.5:

<embed allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.seshu.net/showit/amiejim_siw/showitms.swf?showit_path=http://www.seshu.net/showit/amiejim_siw/" quality="best" WIDTH="360" HEIGHT="270" NAME="showit" align="top" wmode="transparent" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>

However ... I see the older ShowItWeb interface in my TypePad blog (not on the site now obviously - http://blog.pipalproductions.com).

Bizarre!

Can someone tell me what may be going on? Thank you!

I can't view anything when I clicked on the link above...

Edit: Actually nevermind. But from the code above, I can't tell what went wrong. Sorry. Maybe you can submit a help ticket. They can probably help you more there.

Try this link - I loaded up the Show It Web slideshow in question:

That's is definitely weird. Once you've Saved & Published the files, there's no way it'll revert back to the older version. When you previewed it, was it like that?
BillyBuff
Okay, I was reading this and maybe it has something to do with TypePad rewriting the codes and not allowing Flash objects?
