I recently started using a 5D and had been playing around in the CS2 tryout with its RAW files. Well my 30 days are up and I went back to CS (waiting to buy the upgrade to CS3) and low and behold CS1 does not support Canon 5D RAW files. I can convert all my images to JPEGs to work with SIE in CS but I also have the Brilliant settings and can't use them if CS can't read the 5D files.

I looked into Adobe and did not see any support updates for the 5D, but does someone know something that I don't? Anything to get them to work in CS?

I really love my workflow and don't want to modify it if at all possible.

Help.

David,

I believe I ran into this issue a long time ago. I believe what I did was to install the latest update that included the 1D Mark II, and the 5D files showed up, because they are the same file. But I may be wrong on that... like i said it has been a looooong time.... if i am wrong here is a bump

I am pretty clueless when it comes to post work, but I had an issue when I got my 5D. I had to install an update so ACR would open my files. Sorry, if you have a different issue, but I am sure someone will respond who knows more than me. In the meantime, I think this is the link I used to get the update.

that link is for the CS2 ACR update which does not work in CS1.

the latest update I can find that works with CS1 is ACR 2.4, and it does not carry support for the 5D

Thanks,
I am going to reinstall CS1 and then the update and see if that works. Doesn't hurt to try.
