A few months ago I did a shoot as an experiment in the studio and had my 5D tethered to the laptop so we could view the images as they were taken. I used Zoombrowser to view the images. I'm sure I had it set up so that the camera would record the image onto the card as well as to the hard drive on the laptop, therefore giving us two copies, just in case of a PC crash. I've just been messing around and can't for the life of me now get the images to record to the card, only the laptop. Please help as this is doing my head in!!

Can't help you. But with Nikon cameras, it's either one or the other. Maybe it's the same with Canon. Did you look at the owner's manual about it?

When we learned how to tether our cameras in my studio classes....we were told it was either or....you can't shoot to the card and then to the computer as well. Its my understanding that you can only shoot to the computer if you're tethered.....this was using Capture One Pro......not sure if that applies to other programs or not though.

I use Capture One Pro tethered too... but I write to both the card and laptop... Shooting Canon... I have had to use Zoombrowser in a pinch, but I do not remember that I could do that....If you have C1 Pro I can help you out as to how...
