So I shot these portraits last week. Low light. Hard stuff without my flash, bouncer or softbox. Sigh.

Anyhoo... I've noticed a LOT of banding in her face--no, it's not a skin problem--can anyone out there tell me if it's something wrong with my camera, settings, etc? It's too blotchy, and the light wasn't that bad. Hrm, help?

I didn't edit these at all so everyone could see the originals.

hmm, sure looks like there was flash used, and I don't se any banding.

maybe its ur monitor..somehow they look fine to me....i could be wrong though...

Yeah, I'm with the others. Kind of harsh lighting, but not bad at all. I don't see any banding.

Same here. No banding. Just looks like little or bad makeup job....

I'm with these guys. But I do see really blotchy skin. Were you shooting a Nikon?
