Click to view attachmentMichael and I are SO excited because one of Michael's images just got accepted into the April '07 issue of PDN's Top Knots - School of Wedding Photography! Since I am Michael's wife it's okay that I brag about him, right?
It is so awesome for him to be recognized by such a major photography publication. We can't wait for the magazine to come out! Yay! smile.gif

Thanks everyone!! Your awesome! Yes, Michael is now shooting almost everything in film and he loves it! However the image that he got into PDN is a digital image. Michael has been SO much happier with his recent film stuff, so its cool that he made the switch. I, however still shoot digital, so we can do a slideshow for the client at the wedding etc. It's way fun!
Thanks again for all your kind words!

Anna - congrats to you guys! That is awesome. In my opinion these guys have the best contest for wedding photographers. They consistently pick the best seasoned and up and coming shooters out there. Is there a website link with the winners announced? Or - is it too early yet? Congrats again.

Hey!
Michael decided to switch back to film because he loves the look way more than digital. Also, it's much easier to shoot film, and then drop it off with lab, rather than spending countless hours in front of the computer. But mostly, he just loves the look way more. There's nothing like high speed black and white film! Digital just can't capture the grainyness and also, film images feel more high end to us.
Again, I am still shooting digital - so we are definitely a hybrid studio. Our associate photographer even shoots both digital and film!

Congrats to you! Thats exciting.

Funny that you mentioned about switching back to film cause I've been wanting to...just to do it. I actually told Garrett last week I was going to shoot film on our next wedding to play around, (they are OSPers, Brandy and Sticky!)
Ginger
My hubby keeps wanting me to switch back because I DO spend so much more time on post processing my digital stuff.....hmmmm unsure.gif

Congratulations!!!

Congrats!

Congrats. I guess I am not a winner this time, but am glad a fellow OSP'er made the magazine. Congrats. I am sad and will now drown my misery in a workout.

There is still hope Charles, they don't notify everyone at the same time. It just means they are starting to make the phone calls now. smile.gif
