I just wanted to say hello and tell ya’ll what a unique thing the forum seems to be. I am thankful to know that there is something like this out there, especially for photographers. I find it amazing, incredibly encouraging, and challenging. I feel like the lord is in this and that is so exciting. I think the vision that the forum offers is something to be desired.
I am based in Atlanta, GA and have been here about 3.5 years. The question where are you from is always a loaded question for me b/c there is just no simple answer. The short version is that I moved around a lot growing up but I spent my high school years in Dallas, TX. I went to Auburn University in Alabama and my parents live in Arizona. Well that is all for now…

Hello all and thanks for the welcome. Look forward to getting to know you all.
DJ- where in Arizona are your parents? Did you grow up there?

Nathan- Loved your work and I am glad to know that ya’ll are so close to the big ATL. Is it ok if I add you to my referral list. Thanks for your comments on my site. I love photographing weddings but photographing children are my passion. I love to photograph them for both commercial and private portraiture.

Alan- AU really should have had a chance. That just didn’t work out the way I wanted. But I did get to go to two really awesome Auburn games this year. What brought you from Japan back to the US?

Katherine- I love your free spirit. I think I had a fairly free spirit but I must say I am a little jealous of yours.

Welcome!!!

Kerie,

13 years is a long time to spend living overseas. My wife and I were ready I guess. Her parents still live in Okinawa so we still go back every few years.

Welcome to the forum. Funny I don't feel like I'm allowed to say that since I just joined too:-)

Hey Kerie!

Speaking of parents, mine live in Atlanta! It's a funny story - after living in New York and New Jersey for two decades, they decide to fly south with the birds to Florida. Well, the minute they settled there, 3 hurricanes (or was it 4?) hit them and you never saw anyone move out of there so fast.

Well, they are in Atlanta now and are LOVING it! What a beautiful state it is...
