Wow...LaCour looks like they are going to restore some ROI respectability in quality photo education workshops (which I think has taken a hit recently with the "it will change your life" over-promise-under-deliver photo education pandemic that seems to have been running it's course over the last year or so).
Keep up the posts...we want to hear more specifics about the LaCour magic.

Dan,
I have been to a few workshops now, watched some DVDs and been to 2 Pictage PartnerCons. LaCour put on an excellent 4 day workshop that I feel has made me a much better photographer. Plus, everyone was treated so fabulously by them. They really gave up 4 full days to spend with 20 photographers. The way that they run their business is outstanding and just that part alone is worth mentioning, then throw in their signature lighting techniques and post production and it was an amazing 4 days.
Yeah, there are a lot of photographer making money off other photographers and not all of it is merited and photographers keep eating it up and spending money. I can honestly say that I did not feel sold to at all nor did I buy anything while I was there. It 100% did not compare to these tours that the whole purpose is to get you to buy the product. I also know that 10 months after I attended Denis Reggie's workshop, I am charging 3x as much as I was then and that is going to go to 4x very soon.
I've only been home a few hours so I haven't mastered the image toning, but Mark is quite the dancer!
