OK........ so I am soooooooo stupid when it comes to raw.... to tell you all the truth have have yet to bother shooting anything in RAW cause GF said not to at his workshop (or at least thats what I perceieved)

I have my own weird funky way of doing my digital work flow... I yank the images out the flash cards via "right click explore" on my puter and drop them into my hard drive that way, I also have copies burned via a portable CD burner..... from there I then dump all the cards into an "edit" category then edit out the yuckies and renumber it, color correct it via bullzeye and send to pictage.

If I shot RAW, what software will I need to get the images to open and to turn them into Jpeg.... ??? Tha canon CD that came with teh cameras???

I know, I admit it.... I am not a "Digtal Goddess" (Although I play one to TV).... but my theroy has been it works.... why mess with it... my image exposures are really good, the images are sharp and the clients are happy... maybe I don't need to do RAW??? You tell me! smile.gif

Maybe I need to hire a TIM???

Hey Leanne,

I'm having the same problems with sorting out my stuff. If I dont' keep up, my C drive looks like sushi. Anyhow...I'm like you. I use raw when i'm doing the important stuff and Large when it's just the dancing and candid shots. This one crazy wedding I did last week had me shoot over 1500 shots and I just don't like sorting through them all. I need a Tim sooo bad. Anyhow...you and I have the similar method of dropping the folders and all. By the time I'm done with the final imaging and all...I have like

1. Cd's of the immediately after the wedding backed up files
2. A set of the wanted files to edit
3. A set of the edited files (one for the safety deposit box, one for me, and for the client)

Anyhow...I dont' want to spend my days editing away. I'd rather be shooting. This is the only price I've paid since going digital a year ago and more so this year since I've gotten so busy.

Does it only take you an hour to color correct a 1000 images like DJ?

Katherine,

How do you process your RAW images? Are you PC Or MAC?

I color corrected 1400 images on bullzeye last sunday in less than 3 hours.... I edited orginally 2000 images, sorted them, made copies, color corrected ready to go to pictage in 6 hours for my last wedding.... I sent them 1400. I do the same thing, with a CD per flash card.... cd for rough edit, cd for final edit, cd for color corredted and 2 more copies for pictage and client....

I also have copies at my saftey deposit box and on a portable hard drive that I have all my 2004 stored in the saftey box and one for 2005 that I am filling up......

Gregg...hmmm your making it tempting.... can I pay you in candy like DJ pays Tim???
Katherine
Hey guhfren...tongue.gif

I'm on a pc. I don't know bullseye. I use canon file viewer utility and express digital. I just feel so plagued when I have to edit. I hate sitting here doing that all day long. OSP, Cali sushi, and yahoo pool are the only things that keep me going. tongue.gif I'm sooooo not efficient workflow wise.
