Cool, so I had a bride call me today about booking a wedding for this fall. However, she doesn't have a date or location and wanted to know if I had any suggestions. I told her that I would e-mail her a list....but now I can't think of any either! She wants an outdoor wedding and one where she can have the reception at the same spot.

So for all your SB photographers any ideas? DJ, where was the place that Forest had his at again?

BTW....she wants it to be in the SB area....

Hey there,
Ok so I photographed a wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo. The ceremony and reception were both outside.

The location was perfect. Check it out.

Another place is the Firestone winery but it is located in Solvang?

Chris,

I'm shooting a wedding at the SB Historical Society Museum on De La Guerra St.

There's also the park on the corner of Garden and Cabrillo. There's a grassy area near between the fountain and the marry-go-round or the large grassy area with event stage on the other side of the park.

That's all I've got.

Hey Chris and Friends,

Well, My wife and I were searching for outdoor wedding sites in SB two years ago, so here is what I've got. Mind you that we were on a super low budget; we had 375 people in the back yard of some friend’s houses and did all of the flowers for our 25 person wedding party from the farmers market, but hey, it was fun! My mother does Wedding coordination part time, so we got some sweet connections, and this high end coordinator did our coordination for free.

IF your friends have a nice budget, most of the nice hotels like the Bacara, Biltmore…will have awesome outdoor sites. El Prisideo is awesome, not quite as pricey, and very SB. I have heard of some cool sites in Carpenteria in the nursuries, I would just go snoop around. I know there are some companies that have special green houses just for events. The Music Acedemy of the West in nice as well.

If the budget is tight (they will have more $ for you!), have them check out the SB city Parks. They have 25 approved wedding cites, some of which you can bring a caterer to. Their number is 564-5418. Also the SB zoological gardens are an option.

Hope that helps.
