Here is a little 2 week old girl. I've am trying really hard to get my exposure, composition, coloring...well everything correct. Ok, correct to me. I like babies in b&w, but I think sometimes they look really good in color but they need some work on their coloring.

Let me know what you think of these. How is my color (on the one)? I think she is still too red. Maybe it's the pink blanket??

Most of these were f2.8, ss500, ISO 100. All shot w/m 28-75, except for the feet was w/my 50mm 1.8 (the feet was shot at 1.8). natural light.

The red color you see is from the skin absorbing a lot of the light. Actually, I think the light is going through the skin.

I am not sure how to correct it.

You can try and turn the luminance or saturation down in your reds but that will effect the overall skin tone and look of the blanket.

Just make it black and white. They look pretty awesome! smile.gif

I think all of those look really good actually!

i don't know! all these are really gorgeous....i'm so impressed! i come across this probablem but i usually warm up the picture a bit in lightroom, and then decrease the saturation by a tiny bit, then it's less pink and more warmy peachypink skin tones.

I am at work and my screen is not calibrated, so I was assuming that there was too much red. I noticed the possibility of too much red in the fingertips, if that was what you were talking about. If not, then rock on! git.gif

Hey Aaron no problem smile.gif! I think it's a bit too redish, but I did do a b&w also & I really like it. I love the pics of your little guy (I'm assuming)....the same ones as your avatar.

Thanks everyone else for your comments, I really appreciate it. If I keep that one in color I'll have to work on it a bit.

The little guy is actually not mine...it is a very good friend fo our's son.

The first is a tad red...I would just go into curves, select red and pull down slightly. Geat images.
