Does anyone have any experience with the cheap Amvona lighting eqipment found on Ebay. I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Lighting from amvona = lights? No good. Lighting = stands, backdrops, studio stuff yes. But their actual lights are iffy.

Tripods, light stands , bags seem good to me. Also try DreamMaker

Ditto. I've been extremely happy with the reflectors that I purchased from them. And the prices were just ridiculously cheap in comparison to local stores up here in Canada.

I'ld watch out for their stands. I've known a few folks who have ordered stands and booms from them and they say it was a waste of money. They fell apart in about 6 months.

I can't speak to their other stuff.

Cheers,
Zack

If they're not going to get a TON of use, their grip equipment is good (light stands, etc). I don't like the muslin I got from DreamMaker, and I wouldn't buy anything electronic from either.

The reflector I got sheds glitter. The reflector holder broke. Stand was decent.

Now the octobox was super nice and for like 40 bucks it was a deal. All the seams were very solid. Internal and front diffusion panels. Egg crate. Silver and gold internal reflectors.

Brolly box was also great. And a lighting case that was awesome.

I would buy thier softboxes and octoboxes again.
