I was just talking to KK last night and we both realized that it's been almost a year since OSPMC!!! How crazy is that???
I was just looking back at the old post that started it all and it's just so hilarious the OSP peer pressure!
Since all the posts with the pictures and everything were lost in the crash I'm going to post some here and you all are welcome to too!! Especially since there are so many new people on here and they probably have NO clue why some of us are so incredibly close for this being an online forum!:)


So here's the story....
Mike Colon announced his 4 day intensive workshop for Feb 2006 a couple of us decided we wanted to go. Then the peer pressure started and more and more OSP'ers decided they wanted to come too that we actually booked out most of the class and had to request for more seats to open up! Once we found out that about 16 or so of us were all from OSP and going to be down there at the same time...everyone just staying at a hotel just didn't cut it! Liana found a killer Mansion in Laguna Beach that we all packed out and stayed in for a week! It was an amazing week of shooting, partying, networking, and NOT sleeping!! lol! The best part of the week was the relationships that were built and now that I look back I can not imagine my life without these friends!! I love you all!!

i couldnt agree more, one in particular especially stands out though as much as i left inspired that week, and i know i dont stand alone by saying that, the friendships i made that week were the thing that made that trip incredible.

if we were thinking far enough ahead of time we should have rented that mansion again for the one year anniversary. i know i sure as heck would have gone!! something to think about for years in the future, get the mansion for the anniversary

Hey guys! I get fuzzy every time I think back to this. Mike is on Pictage right now and I reminded him how much that experience impacted us. He mentioned needing to get going on that advanced workshop either this year or next. He remembers! So maybe with a little "encouragement" from us...it'll happen! lol I'll hunt around for some pics and that video of the Holritz' and post em later tonight.

This thread is awesome!!! Wow - the memories!! It was such an incredible week, and I miss all of you more than you know! My life completely changed after that week, and I owe so much to Mike for having such an amazing seminar and to all of you for sharing so much knowledge and encouragement with me!!! Gosh, I can't believe it's been a year....

I love you guys!!! I cannot believe I won't be seeing you all at WPPI........it seriously depresses me.....I'm so stinkin' emotional these days......

Oh man! I was chatting with Lori Creech, TJ Cameron and Sara France about this tonight.... Its where we all met!!!

I agree with Lukety-Luke... the most memorable part was the friendships... !!!

I cant imagine my life without people like the Holritz's, Miss Nave, Crystal, Jazzy and JD, Jessica Claire and the lovely miss Sarah Barlow.... You have all had such an impact in my life this past year...its been amazing because of ya'all!

And of course the warm fuzzies I get when I think about the Nudds, Luke and Alicia (isnt that where "Luke & Alicia" started??...haha ), Franky boy, Jimbo, Danny, Miss Lehman, Kev-Kev, KK.... oh gosh the list goes on and on and on and on

And of Course Mike and DJ... The whole reason we are all friends!

I can't believe that only a year ago, I met you all in person for the first time. My goodness, times have changed. But the funniest thing of all, is that I'm sitting in Cabo with Jess, Liana and [b]ecker almost a year to the date after meeting them!!? Sometimes life is sweet and I feel so blessed to have met you all!! I'm a richer person for having you in my life...both personally and as a source of inspiration!

This is how that week felt to me. With an average of 3-4 hrs. of sleep every night...it's a blur. So much fun packed into that short time...so many conversations...so many new amazing friends...I'll totally host something if it means we all get together again. Mountain shoots anyone? There's no Disneyland...but there's always the Enchanted Forest!

I just rewatched everything.....man that was awesome! I've never been much of one to rely on pictures and the like for reliving memories (odd considering what I do for a living). They tend to stick in my mind pretty well. But this really makes me want to do this again! What do you say we all plan OSPMC2 for Mike so he doesn't have to do a thing but join us?

P.S. Amber - I couldn't find the video. I searched every hard drive, every backup disc...when I switched hosts, I left it behind and it's a goner.
