Hi, all!
I've been lurking here for awhile now, getting lots of good info, reading when I should really be going to bed.... so, I figured I should introduce myself and start talking back.
I'm a portrait photographer in eastern Washington, in business for about a year and half or so. I'm looking to get better at the business side of things (well, at photography too, of course - but the business skills are what pays the bills and keeps my family from going broke!), and you all seem like a friendly lot.
I'm typing right now with a one year old asleep in my lap and a three year old watching Thomas the Tank Engine, so I guess that tells you a bit about me (I work a bit during the day when I can, and at night when I'm too tired to work after my wife gets home from teaching).
I just had a display at a local Kids & Baby Expo, and have a lot of potential customer contacts. My goal is to be able to work more during the day so I can actually spend time with my family in the evenings, instead of being constantly stressed out about work.
Wow! That sounds depressing! I really do love what I do - I'm just trying to keep it from controlling me. I'm looking forward to participating here!
Ciao...
Aaron
