I have been editing images for my new website and put together a selection of my favorites from 2006. I am being pretty safe wtih this selection of images. I have a ton of nudes that are fantastic but I don't feel comfortable showcasing them online.

Anyway I thought I would share.

These are so great. I have never done a maternity shoot and I am so afraid of them. You made these women look so beautiful and natural.

Thanks guys. Belly photography is what I enjoy doing most. It is so amazing what the body can do. I am having a photo shoot with my pregnant friend Linette this weeekend and we have a lot of fun ideas to experiment with. I will be sure to post some.

I love all the B&W's... to me, the color images do not seem of the same extraordinary caliber. They're cool, but they are not uber-cool.

I always think of you when I think of maternity imagery!

Yeah, those are actually the only color ones I have done and only because of the sunset... I debate all the time whether or not to include them since everything is B&W and the color pops out in a sea of B&W. Good to consider and what I need to hear with selecting images to put on my new website.

I think the collage is wonderful. Maternity is not easy and you make it look effortless and elegant. The feel in some of them is amazing.

I am SO happy to see more and more photogs shooting this stuff ....when I first started asking women to let me photograph their baby bellies 14 years ago, they looked at me like I'd grown another head. But now they are understanding that this is a beautiful and very temporary time in their lives that needs to be captured!

Interesting bit of information about the woman and daughter in the field:
She is what started it all with the bellies for me. I was shooting for my thesis is college, body landscapes, and she was my roommates best friend and happened to be pregnant so I photographed her belly. That sparked it all. That little girl was inside the first belly and since then I have gone on to photograph her mom's wedding (in Jamaica) and her second child (in that photo) she was also featured in runway mom on TLC, but guess what I just got an email from her last week, she is pregnant again with #3!

Stunning. Honestly, this is the best maternity photography I've seen.
