I have noticed that many of you have websites with bludomain. I love the look and layout of their designs. I would love to go with this company, but I have had a good handful of people tell me that their customer service is terrible.
When they ran the "$400 Websites Today Only" ad on 01-28-07, I responded requesting a contract as specified in their blog, but I didn't hear anything back from them. I sent a followup email several days later, and still nothing.
So I need advice. Are they so busy that they take a while to to respond, or is the customer service dept. really that bad??? I don't want to come off like I am bashing this company, because I'm not. I would really like to use them. However, I am very HTML challenged and if the customer service department is slow, then it will take me forever to put a website together. Just need some reassurance I guess.

I've heard about all this, too, but I do know that they are having problems with their email.
Having a blu domain website has meant SO much for my business - it's a decision that I'm so glad I made and I would make again in a heartbeat. I'm not very web-savy and it's really really easy to quickly update your galleries and text. I really love it!
Also, I've had a fine customer service experience with them and have no complaints. My husband had some difficulty getting in touch with them recently regarding a website that he had purchased, but once they were in contact, they apologized profusely and met his need with great customer service.

Another option is creative motion design. I bought one a little over a year ago, and thier customer support has been great. It was a little more flexible than blu, that is why I went with them. I can customize and have as many tabs and galleries as I wanted. With blu, I was limited to 4 galleries. I can set up my tabs any way I want. Check them out.

Love bludomain--they have always been super prompt with me. I emailed them around 7am Central time last Thursday and heard from them by phone around 11am--which was probably right as they got to work that day their time. That totally rocks for me!
They have had email problems lately. Give them some time to deal with that and deal with their growing clientele. You will be valued too.

i'll second big folio. Overall, i'm happy with my site, and customer service is good. The downside: you have to host through them, and it's on the pricey side. But for an easy to customize and update template site, it's hard to beat!

Try emailing them again. Try bludomain@comcast.net. They were definitely having email problems but I think they have it figured out now. GOod luck.

Crystal, I beleive my criticism of Bludomain is pretty well known, and I also believe it is a risk in dealing with them. If things go wrong, or you get on their bad side, they can make your experience a nightmare.
However, for the price, I think they have the cleanest, nicest designs available. Many of the bludomain sites are just fantastic. So you are getting a gorgeous website for the price of the template. And they really are very easy to update and maintain. I'm very pleased with the admin interface they provide. I also have my hosting with them, and to my knowledge, the site has never been down, though others have stated that their sites do go down from time to time. I'm really happy with their hosting.
It appears from posts on here that Bludomain really is trying very hard to clean up their customer service issues. Seems they are getting many more happy customers than in the past. As for me, they never attempted to make things right, and I presume I am on their black list, so to speak.
So there is my honest opinion, coming from one of their critics.

I was on the phone for over an hour with them last night. They are having email issues that they are working hard on....around the clock. This is keeping them extremely stressed and sorry. Email them again...it could be that they have not received any of your emails. Call if all else fails.
