Hi All,

I'd like to introduce myself to the community here- my name is Belle and I live in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia!

Im a bit of a photography nut, and all my friends and family have their lives well documented by my camera ! I currently work full time as a Scientist, and last year I started my own photography business on the side (after lots of pushed work from friends to shoot weddings!) and am currently starting out by doing weddings and portraits... and getting lots of nice new gear (Nikon of course...)

My photography objective is to 'capture divine beauty'. I really believe that what we see depends on what we look for, and as I look around in this world i see so much of the beauty of God's creation I just want to capture it and share it with others.

I recently have uploaded a website which is incomplete (portfolio is under construction) but i have a few galleries up of recent shoots (need to get more of them up!). If you have some spare time and want to surf in and have a look I would love some feedback!

Anyways, so thats me, just starting out and looking at how to do things in my style and develop my skills. I'd love to hear any advice or quick tips on what (may be helpful to others also) you would have found helpful when you first started out business!

Welcome! I've had heaps of Australian friends I met volunteering in Thailand and I LOVE the humor they brought with them! (My puns don't translate outside English well, I found that out quickly!) I'm happy to add more photographers and creative types to that collection of international friends.

I like the look of your site, too! Great floral closeup and color in your design. Some of the links were hard to read even when I scaled down to 1024px wide resolution. Very clean deisgn and a good way to display your creative work!

And yes, Australia is a great place take photos, everyone should definetly have an ambition make a photo trek 'down under' sometime! Just check out Ken Duncan's awesome work!
and yes, aussie humour is certainly different ... on the dry side! the number of times i have been misunderstood by visitors from overseas.... when will they understand that its just a joke????

Although, I am envious of some of the great things that the US has to offer....like online proof/ordering companies for photogs, being able to custom print on MnM's, big red, the mother store of krispy kremes (yes there is 3 in sydney now!) and the ability to get free shipping on amazon orders!
