Full Version: Monitor Calibration

So, I am not sure if this is just me, but it seems my photos (properly exposed IN camera, looks good on camera LCD, AND looks good on computer monitor) print darker than what I see on my monitor. I have this problem pretty much with any printer (albums, photo lab etc.)

My files are sRGB and I have my monitor calibrated (as close as I can) to what Pictage's sample photo looks like. I have done some research and found the gamma is different on mac and pc monitors...does this make a difference? Should I just do trial and error with my printer of choice to get it to match? Hopefully, some of you mac Pros can help me out with your settings..

Thanks alot.

I would buy a profiling device for your monitor. The Eye-One Display is awesome. You will be much happier with the results.

Using their method of calibrating based on looking at the image on the screen is not color management. You need a good device to bring your monitor to a standard.
