Hi all!

I just wanted to show off my latest album design.

Molly and Jesse were married last May, and at the time, I wasn't doing pre-designs and I actually waited for brides to give me shot-lists for their books. wacko.gif

But I told them before Christmas that I would design a book for them and let them make edits - they were very happy about that.

Anyway, with all the books that got piled up in Jan. (10 total from 2006) I finally have their book ready to view.

Check it out and give me some feedback (I'll take the bad with the good). thumbsup.gif

Blessings!

You know I luv ya! That said...

Page 15 looks like the seam will go through the middle picture in a non-flattering way. Your indoor lighting is GREAT (what do you use - for both church and reception?) Really like your outdoor stuff - too bad I had to get through the the traditional indoor church poses to get to the good stuff. Almost seems like 2 different albums. That ring shot rocks and so does the page! I think there are too many dress/getting ready shots (but that's my opinion) like pg 22 middle shot with the arms going toward her behind. I hate being the first to post and have so many critiques --- but you KNOW I love your work wub.gif

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, page 15 does split right in between the two, but it's a creased book and shouldn't be too much trouble. I might just 86 that image and plop in a detail shot...

My lighting was really simple - 580Ex's. For the formals I set the EX's on stands and use the ST-E2 to help me control the lights. I balance everything with the ambient light.
At the reception (a Legion hall) I simply point the flash head (on camera) behind me in various degrees to give the images a natural look. There was 1 window in the hall to (thank God!).

I agree about the formals, but they wanted them... - they're not all bad though for formals - are they? unsure.gif

Thanks for the critique. I want to see how everyone here feels about the design before I send it off to them. Of course they'll see it as is - but if anyone notices something out of the ordinary or that simply sucks - I will want to know before I send it off.

Simply amazing. I am inspired by everything I see of yours...

To the untrained eye, I didn't notice anything "sucky"...and thus I don't think your clients will either.
