Hi guys, I'm hoping there is a way to batch resize all my high res jpegs to 4x6 proofs so I can order them through WHCC.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Also, if I cant batch resize the portrait and lanscapes together, how can I select only the portraits and/ or landscapes to run an action on them? I tried to see if there was sort function for this, but I didnt' see it.

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

Trista there are a number of ways to do this. I would recommend you check out Brown's 1-2-3 jpeg plug in that you can run directly from Bridge or PS. you can check it out here: http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html

another thing you can do is just run the image processor from bridge and enter in the dimensions you need to make 4x6. Input 1800 x 1800 for both vertical and horizontal images.

Another way to do it is create an action in PS to create a 4x6 image and then run the batch feature from bridge..

Select all of the files in bridge

In bridge go to Tools, Photoshop, Image Processor

Image Processor will open in CS2

In Image Processor select to save the files to the location of your choice as 1800x1800 pixel images at level 8-10 jpg

The files will be 4x6" at a big enough size to look great and a small enough size to upload quickly smile.gif
