Sometimes a girl's just gotta do what a girl's gotta do....but, glad you are safe.

My hubbie made me learn to change my tires, oil, spark plugs, and brakes when we were dating. He still does it for me, but thought I should know how just in case.

I'm proud of you too! My Dad taught me a lot about cars when I was young, but I tried putting new tires on my car (ordered tires & rims online) and didn't tighten the lugs in the right order (forgot about that) and my tires almost fell off while I was driving! Luckily I lived less than a block from a car dealership - they helped me!

Thankfully my tire went flat at home and there was nothing dramatic about it!
And trust me Bently, I was thinking that AAA membership was looking pretty good! I also did treat myself (and the kids) to lunch at Los Betos- yummm. I'm so easy to please.

hmmm... Los Betos and changing tires, next thing you know I'll be working on a construction crew

Thankfully my dad showed me when I was younger and while I've had several blown tires over the years, there's always been some hero around!! Now I'm the hero! The kids think I'm so cool!

What's funny is (And don't even think letting this leak out to my husband!!!), in my family, in order to get your drivers license, you had to know all the basics: Change a tire, check the air, check all the fluids, etc. In order to get a car, you had to pass the test of doing your own oil change!! Obviously, I passed all of those. But after my grandparents died, I never let Jason learn those nifty little facts and I'm a proud owner of auto insurance road-side-assistance.
