Ok so I am sure that this has been posted before but who are you using for albums
I am using Graphi and Vision Art.
who do you use and why?

Chris Humphreys

Queensberry. They're incredibly expensive and we could make a TON more money by using a different company, but for my tastes they make the best albums in the world hands down. That's why we use 'em! smile.gif We do almost exclusively matted albums, because it's different from what most other people offer and because (again in our opinion) they're just a bit more classic than flushmount.

I use Asuka Books and Art Leather.

I've been using Renaissance (for my flush mount albums). I love the look of their books.

However, their quality control seems to be getting worse. Lately, almost every book I receive has more than 5-10 defects. Mostly glue spots, and white specks. As a result I have to mail the books back and my customers have to wait a little longer.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or am alone here?

How has Art Leather's quality been?

Thanks guys,

Michael

Does anyone else have the same problem I've been running into? (glue marks and specks on books that need to be returned)

Hey Nate,

What do you typically spend on a 30 sided book (just the book / no prints / and or with prints)?

thanks,

I am using KISS Wedding Books Why? Because Simple Is Hot! thumbsup.gif

Michael,

We've used Renaissance The Book for most of our albums the past few years, but haven't noticed too many flaws in them. Years ago, when we used Renaissance off the shelf products from Albums, Inc. we noticed that they did have glue spots occasionally.

Our lower end albums have been Legend albums from Millers and we are definitely leaving these behind this year. WAY too many glue spots, exposed edges and occasionaly warped pages. Millers has always fixed these no questions asked (they rock), but I think it's just a case of the albums themselves not being up to par.

I'd love to jump to Queensbury, but can't at this time. We've opted instead for KISS and Asuka to fill our upcoming weddings. If we need a traditional book, we'll still be using Renaissances The Book's Galleria album to fill that need. We've even had sharedink.com fill a few of our lifestyle portrait session coffeetable book orders and the quality is much nicer than years past.

Hope this helps,

Ginger

Thanks for commenting Ginger. I'm having way too many books come back with glue on them and it's adding to my work load. Renaissance is great in that they'll always fix a problem but it's getting to a point where just about every book needs to go back.

How do you like the Kiss books? They appear to be thinner than Renaissance. Do they offer discounts for duplicate/parent books?

I've been using Asukabook as the Coffee Table Books and VisionArt as the Flush Mount Books. I just recently got a hold of GraphiStudio and should hopefully get my sample pack next week.

Has anyone heard or has any experience with DigiCraft Australia? Thanks in advance!
