Help - my back up camera is doing something weird. It's a 30D.

I just went to delete the images from a card - it gets a little over halfway finished, and it just stops - the progress bar (or whatever it's called) just stops. I turned the camera off, took the battery out and tried again...same thing.

I took that flash card out, put another one in and tried deleting...same thing.

What's up?

instead of going to delete all - go to format. its quicker and better for the card.

Sounds like a problem with the file system on the card. Formatting should take care of that unless there is physical damage to a part of the memory in the card.

Does formatting the card delete the images?

Jill, I think you'll find that most people usually always FORMAT, myself included. I can't remember the last time I actually used the DELETE function.

I'll try that and see what happens!
Thanks!
