I want to publicly thank Becker for giving me his old blu website. It's truly been a blessing. These things don't happen too often.

Hey Allan. Great website. One thing I noticed right away. "Wedding packages beging..." beginning is misspelled.

odd seeing becker's name in the url.
emily*allen
also, on your bio page, the sentence I don't like is "overlooked details of the event"....the sentence is correct, but on first read, I was thinking, "He overlooks details?" smile.gif

Like the colors and easy navigation. Seems a bit OVER sharpened but maybe that's just me (my website images have been soft so, again, maybe it's me).

Allan...well the images speak for themselves, very nice! I personally like the look of the site, I like the colors and layout, it all works together nicely. Good stuff!

That is what it is all about Jas! thumbsup.gif
Love you for reminding everyone though hug.gif
Well love you just because you are Jas but...

Congratulations Allan! clap.gif

[b] is something else.
There are a lot of fortunate people to have him in their life, including a few thousand OSP'ers now too.

Always impressive!
We all notworthy.gif (never used that one before but I can't think of anyone who deserves it more than the [b] guy)

Great work! Great reinvention of the website, definitely changed enought to not see [b]'s old site in it. Agree on the oversharpening, otherwise, perfect! clap.gif
allan z.
ok..just got back from the gym. i feel good!

Thank you all for your critiques. greatly appreciate. smile.gif
And yes, I WILL pay it foward, even if i don't become rich and famous! LOL! laughing.gif

Beckers name in the url will be changed. working progress--just wanted to show you all smile.gif

Shannon and Jennifer, i agree with you. They are a bit over sharpenned. You see, when i uploaded them, and they went thru compression, i felt they loss the look i wanted. i guess that's why I over did it a bit.

Do you guys think clients see that? Or maybe they just look sharp to them...hmmm

thoughts anyone?

I would say it's your audience here... that is photographers, designers, photo hobbiests, etc. We're looking at the images with a different eye - perhaps too analytical.

A generality here - most of us could place a photo from a wedding with a blown out bride's dress in front of a couple and they wouldn't pick up on the blown highlights... just rather if the image was sharp, vivid, etc.

Take that same image and show it to your photo pals - and expect:
QUOTE
"Did you want the dress blown out when you took the shot? If so, fine job sir. Fine job."

Feel free to add the level of sarcasam to that that you would expect from your friends. smile.gif

Again, that's just been my experience...

The site looks great!

Allan - AWESOME. Site looks hot! Congrats, for taking advantage of a great opportunity.

Becker continues to impress me with his generosity to this community. Rock on b.

hey alex,

great work! Congrats on the new site. My only input would be to maybe tweak your bio a bit. It comes off a tad..."unprofessional" when you begin talking about playing around with the camera and such, almost as if your photography career was an accident. I would add on to this somehow, maybe talk about your training and experience, just to emphasize that this is more than a fun passtime. But this is totally just my impression, feel free to ignore it!

Looks very nice overall ;-)

Great looking site, Beautiful images.

one suggestion: Not sure if you can do anything about it but on the contact page and the proof page, the boxes they are supposed to enter their info is really light. Not to sure how it might show up on an uncalibrated monitor.

the oversharpening doesn't bug me a bit.

and I personally think that (most) clients would view that as more professional than not.

becker is so awesome. that is the first word that comes to mind when I think of him. yes, the word is overused BUT, it just fits. one of the things that I love most about his work is the crispness, and you seem to be following suit with that. so keep being fantastic.

p.s. the green is very calming.
