Hi April,

Thanks for posting this. Sally is a remarkable woman, and an outstanding artist. I met her during her first screening of What Remains, and was able to chat with her about life, art, etc. She is one of the most soulful women photographers I've ever met!

Did anybody get to see her at the Festival of the Photograph? I was carrying a tray of food while volunteering for the event and literally just about ran into Sally. Then the thought went through my head... " Oh my gosh! That's Sally Mann!", but all I could come up with is "Uh. Hey!" She said "Hey!" We're tight now smile.gif

Her work was so inspiring and I loved her wet-plate collodions. She showed some of her newest peices! She did an interview style talk and my favorite thing about Sally was how she admitted her insecurities as an artist.

Then her daughter Jessie has become an artist as well, and she showed her work in a slideshow one night. After the slideshow, some of us started dancing to the music. Jessie got out there with us! She was so much fun!

It was a great event, and I hope to see some OSP photographers there next year!

Thanks for posting that! The trailer looked awesome! Can't wait until it comes out!
