does anyone use photojunction to layout and batch process images for cypress albums? Anyone use anything else? I have been doing it image by image via photoshop and downloaded photojunction and love it except I am having problems with exporting cropped photos.

hey joel,
i use lumapix to layout everything. i don't know it that would work for you, or not. i would think the free download would at least help you lay it out.

i did a matted album in lumapix, but then i just went through the design and ordered each print through whcc, and sent them to zookbinders for mounting. super simple (time consuming), and didn't need to print a thing.

download it free here!

here's my matted design that i did as i described above:

i'm working on learning photojunction - yikes! - what a learning curve - i feel like an idiot!

hey joel,

I'm using photojunction right now to design my first cypress album. Watching the online video tutorials on the site has helped alot. Are you making sure you hit the 'modify' button after you adjust the crop??

Robin, thanks for the info, unfortunately lumapix can only be run on a mac via parrarlells or rebooting in windows.

Abby, You might have solved my problem. I will look into that and see if it works.

I loved the nice clean layout of your album! Great song by the way!
joeldavid
abbey,

it works for the most part. It still leaves 1/16" to 1/8" of a white border on 2 of the edges. This isn't the biggest problem because Cypress covers 1/4" on each side. But I was trying to get it to not do that.

No worries. Thanks for help. your modify tip solved a big problem I was having.
joeldavid
Abbey,

I just ran into another problem. It is cropping all of my 4x5 photos to 3.5x5 even though the template states it is 4x5.

Does anyone know of another solution?

Hi - I'm jumping here as I am just researching albums and design sites - I was wondering how long the free download for Lumipix is good for and if I needed to purchase it, how costly is it? I am just making the switch from portrait photographer (well not giving that up - adding I should say wedding services to my business) There are SOOOOO many companies and it's confusing. I like your design and was wondering how really simple zookbinders is to work with and how Lumipix is to design with? I don't want to overwhelm myself anymore that I am

Thanks,
Heather
