Hi!

This might be a dumb question, but I'm hoping somebody out there has done this and can help. I'm about to launch my new bludomain site and I would like to add a favicon. I've got the favicon created and I know that I have to somehow upload it to my site AND add an HTML tag inside the <head> . . . </head> section of my web page.

My question is this . . . where the heck is the <head> . . . </head> section of my web page??? And where do I upload the favicon.ico file???

Any help you can offer is very, very greatly appreciated! thumbsup.gif

Thanks!

I don't think you have to add any tags to the html.

Just upload the .ico file to the root directory. The root directory is where your default or index file is.

Let me know if it worked.

From what I know, you usually don't need the code. If you have site visitors using older browsers, they won't automatically look for the icon, so you'll have a few misses without the code. Generally, though, most of the new ones look for it.

The site won't actually "launch" for another 24 hours, or so, so I don't believe I have access to the root directory, yet, do I???

I'll see what it looks like when the site launches and I'll put your advice to work.

Thanks again!

Brian
