Scott Robert Lim is coming to Raleigh, NC on June 12-13 for photoshop/photography two day seminar. For more information check out www.scottrobertactions.com. Cost is $399.00.

If you are interested email me please!

This two day seminar will include Photography 101 and Scott's "7 Deadly Actions" for Photoshop (You will receive these actions to take with you!)

Day one: Scott will go over: How to successfully manage and run a profitable wedding photography business. It is believed 95% of all new business will fail within 5 years. Current wedding photography rates are plunging lower and lower with the advent of digital photography and the exponential growth of emerging wedding photographers- The weekend warrior who has a nice 9-5 job who shoots weddings on the side is here to stay! Learn how to compete with them and still be profitable. Established photography studios are drastically losing business, why? Is it even possible to be a full-time professional photographer in today's market? How can I successfully be a part-time wedding photographer and grow it into a full time career?

What are the keys to attracting clients that are beautiful, fashionable- those that want the very best and don't mind paying handsomely for it? What is the Scott Robert business model and will it work for me? How do I start a successful photography business? If wedding photography rates are drastically dropping, how can I raise my rates? How do I determine pricing? What type of equipment, software and workflow do I need? What photography skills are need to successfully shoot a wedding? What is important in a website/blog? How do I attract business, what type of marketing should I invest in? PC or MAC? Where do I get albums made? Should I pre-design a wedding album? What should or shouldn't I include in my packages? Should I give my source files away? How do I gain experience? What are some good business books to read or resources that will greatly help me? Who are the best photographers out there and how can I keep updated on their current images for fresh ideas? Can I really make it as a wedding photographer? What are my strengths, my weaknesses? Can I benefit from being mentored by a highly successful professional?

Second Day: Add WOW to your Images. Other photographers are learning all my editing secrets...YOU CAN TOO. Many photographers have trouble recognizing what areas of their image to enhance and to bring out and what areas to minimize. Mastering this simple concept creates award winning imagery that adds the huge WOW factor in finishing off a work of art.

Do you want to increase the impact value of your images?

Mastering "7 deadly actions" with a million and one results!
Why waste time and effort reading Photoshop books, going to month long classes and filling your mind with a million and one things about what Photoshop can do, when mastering my "Seven Deadly Actions" is all you need to learn to post process any image.

Most people will spend hundreds of hours learning what I can teach you in a few short hours. If you book one job by showing your clients your remastered images, this class will more than pay for itself!

Get Professional Results, FAST

My two to three hour class will show you how to master my 7 actions with my custom preprogrammed commands (automated tasks- kinda like excel macros) with unlimited versatility, producing millions of image variations.

Instead of teaching the million things about what Photoshop can do, I teach you how to master my 7 actions that create the million and one image effects needed for professional quality results.

I hope that they embrace us "weekend warriors" that are doing this as a bridge to continue our careers. I am one of those unspoken few that have a second line of work but honestly, Im a pro that has been doing this for a while but cringe when I hear Pro's comment about others with a second source of income. As many of you know from what was written about me a month ago know, this is my second job but it's a serious career for me that I take with the utmost serious vision and passion.

I know that many feel strongly about this but what you may not understand is that for many of us like me, this is a life changing issue that we focus on.

Much love and respect.

Andy,

They're probably just saying that to prompt photographers to SIGn UP NOW! so they can learn secrets that will distance themselves from the competition in this tough tough world of Uncle Bobs, part-timers, cheap cameras, etc...

I am sure they don't have anything against "weekend warriors" smile.gif

+1 - it is more about the shoot and burn photographers, and how do you compete with that...

Go to Scott's site he truly is a gifted photographer who is just giving back to others.

You are an awesome photographer Andy and I have read the articles on you. If I did not have a husband that works full time to support my family, I would have to work while I got my photography business off the ground.

Much love and respect back to you!

Thanx all of you!!!

You guys are great!

I hope I did not come off as hostile, I just reread my post after some much needed rest and was like...Ouch...Bad Andy.

I was not upset or offended I was just making a comment about my concerns with this issue that has come up here in the MD/DC area and accross the country with shoot and burn warriors with no business sense.

Again, you guys are great..Thanx

P.S.....

I love Scott's work!!! and YES!!! I am so trying to go to this workshop:)...I think I will be there!
