Hey Everyone,
In my other job I am a high school yearbook teacher, and I'm looking for someone who would like to iChat with my students and basically help inspire them to keep pursuing photography.

I know a lot of successful photographers got their feet wet while in a high school yearbook or newspaper class so if you would like to send a positive message to some excited high school photographers let me know thumbsup.gif

I'd be glad to help any way I can.

I would love to help. I got my start in Yearbook and it really helped get me rolling. Drop me an e-mail and we can find a way to connect. I help out when I can at the fine arts magnet high school here in Tampa as often as I can. This would be another great way to give back.

I love instant message smile.gif Particularly during the day... keeps me entertained, when I'm not in the mood to work...

Which is most of the time.

Feel free to contact me directly, amber@holritzphotography.com and we can talk about it further!

I would love to help! Working on a yearbook page for my Son's senior year!

Great! Do any of you use iChat so that you could see the kids and interact with them?

I have both iChat & Skype...I find that Skype sometimes works better than iChat for the video stuff.

Feel free to email me directly also!

I'll iChat - look me up as "annetics" and let me know what time to be online.

Careful. I know a choir director who got fired for chatting with students. And there was nothing bad in those chats. It was just that the parents freaked out over the "adult/child internet interaction without parental consent" thing. Yes, this was high school.

I am not against helping. I'm a writing coach at my local middle school.

That is true you do have to be careful, but we would be doing a video chat during school hours. It is more like inviting a guest speaker to you classroom, not a private instant messaging session.

Anyways thanks to all that responded. I will be contacting you soon about setting up specific times/dates. Our district has to create a hole in the firewall for this to happen so it might be a week or two....
