Full Version: Uploading to YouTube
OK, I have this cute little pocket camera--in fact, it's awesome! The Canon SD900. The movie file downloaded as an AVI file. Do I need to convert that to an Mpeg4? If so, how? If not, how long should it take to upload to YouTube? I would really appreciate some advice. Thank you!

I have a Canon S500 which outputs AVI movie files and uploads to YouTube fine. YouTube converts all that into a Flash video file (FLV) anyways. The upload speed depends on the connection you have.

i know why it's not working! My movie is 344MB and they only allow up to 100MB. So how do I change the MBs?? What softward does that. I'm new to this, can you tell?

I think you've captured the video at a higher resolution like 1024x768 which is a bit too large for web viewing. You can check out these free converters that can resize to your desired size:

- http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/gmm/fwvideconvert.html (This one should have the best resizing tools you need)
