Howdy!
At a recent workshop here in Houston, I was told about the Texas Professional Photographer's Association "Texas School." I was wondering if any Texas OSPers could give me any insight to the school. Is it worth it? Did you learn what you intended to learn?

janelyn,
I think it is totally worth it. There are some great instructors this year. I won't be going but I really wish I could. Some classes may already be full, but just going and networking with different photographers is great. It really is a lot of fun...i recommend going. best of luck.

Hey Janelle,
I am from Texas! Anyway, I was thinking of going to Texas School too, I've heard it is great. (most recently from one of my PUG members). If you go let me know what you think, because I may go next year. It seems like it is more of a great network opp. I wonder how much of it is more "old school" rather than new school osp style! lol...

Did someone say
TEXAS??
I have nothing really to contribute to this post... but I thought I'd give a shout out to the promise land and all who are from or in it!
(I could SO go for some Rudy's BBQ today...)

Kristin - I'll let you know if I attend. I try to attend as many Houston based workshops as I can and have built a nice, albeit small, list of contacts. If I go to Texas School, I'd like to focus on the business seminars but I wanted to find out if it was indeed worth the money. I know there are more Texas photographers on OSP than just us - anyone else have opinions?
Nam - You're too cool!

I was a student at Texas A&M until a year ago so I always snuck into the events when they were down there
