I got a packet on these a while back. They are super unique but very expensive. Anyone have any personal experience with them?
Aaron
I think that is the company Mike Colon uses.
Alisha
I like la-vie. If you think about it, it's not that pricey. I mean it is but there is NO WORK involved. No stupid album design, and no billizion changes, and a bunch of pre-designed pages that go unpaid for. The album is custom made to the pictures. It's not that much more than graphi now if you break it down and yeah, no work! smile.gif

hm.... Thanks Alisha & Aaron.

I may offer them as an upgrade to my standard albums.

Alisha
I offer the G-type for $2500.00 just fyi.

Does it mean I can use them only if I charge as much as Mike? smile.gif

I just love La-Vie albums. It's the only album I currently offer in a package, though I realize they are not for everyone. I think it's too bad that their website and brochures hardly exemplify their beauty and exqusite craftsmanship.

And actually, I don't think they are too expensive, considering their very "fine art" hand-crafted qualities. Even a flush-mount album from Queensberry can get more expensive than the largest La-Vie.

If you want to offer something truly unique, definitely look into them. But you've just got to see one. I wasn't sold on La-Vie until I finally held one and paged through it ... then I was easily convinced.

Hope this helps!

oh thanks it does help. I have been PMing Alisha and she's been very helpful as well. I guess I am getting ready to order myself a sample! YAY!

alisha touches on a point that seems to be more and more important to us, and that is not only is the la-vie an amazing and unique album, but it requires no work. that huge to me personally!! not having to design albums for clients, make changes, resize to exact dimensions... it's priceless. the clients just chooses between 90-100 images i burn off the CD and im done. i know i am paying a couple hundred dollars more for the la-vie, but it's WELL worth it to me considering how much time and energy it saves. not too mention the final product smokes almost any flushmount album.

finally, i am offering both graphi flushmounts, la-vie matted albums, and cypress folios and boxes. if the interest in la-vie and cypress continues to increase like i hope then the flushmounts might be getting slowly phased out of the studio. im just beginning to question how "timeless" the flushmounts are, and also put off by the amount of work.

luke, dude... I LOVE the caption under your avatar. Hilarious.

Anyway, thanks. I am Super excited to order a sample. For those who already order from them, can you tell me if there is a disocunt on identical albums? Say for parent albums?
