For those of you who use the INCREDIBLE Nitorix actions, if you haven't done so yet, you NEEEEEEED to pick up the Lomo Effects script. THEY are INCREDIBLE.
Forest, you are a freakin GENIUS!!!

DJ,
I'm glad you said that because now I don't feel QUITE as bad using it on like every picture that I'm preparing for a DVD for a couple....I won't literally use it on every single one, but it sure feels like they all look better with it!!!

I really should be in bed already... but alas, I'm online cruising the forum.
Amy, you can find all of the Nitorix Photoshop Automations
here. Some very cool choices. I use them all the time on our weddings and they are truly amazing.

I use the cross processes quite a bit, the sepia a little bit, the vintage a little bit.... the cross process though I use enough to make it worth it to get it for that alone!
For my purposes I really don't use the collage ones at all.
I use the Border actions quite a bit as well. I haven't upgraded to the BorderIT, but if you're starting out I would just get the BorderIT, as it has more options that the regular border actions.
And now, I use the Lomoeffects ALL the time. They're sweet.

I would definitely start out with the crossprocess action, the boarderIT and the LOMO.
Those would be my top three for use.

Yea! The borerIT is a must along with the Cross Process (which I think only comes bundled) and then the Lomo is freakin awesome too! I just Lomo'd 40 images for the Wedding Channel website...I wonder if we can just build it into our camera!!!!!

probably not but that'd be nice!!!

Ok, those of you that have Lomo, I need some technical assistance. I bought the effects last night and I can't get it to work. When I go to run it I get a box that says 'JavaScript plug-in not found.'
Has anyone else had this problem or know what I need to do to fix it?
I so want to mess around with the effect.

Sarah

that picture is hilarious!
Kurt - I think Chris had to reinstall PS to get it to work...so wait to hear what he says, then hit up forest
right here and he'll get it figured out. Bummer...he'll get it working and you'll love it!

What version PS do you have? It only works with CS.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Forest suggested I reinstall CS as well. So I'll give it a try. I imagine that will work.

Anyone have any idea how to apply the Lomo affect to only one image when you have multiple images pulled up in Photoshop?

I don't think you can. I have run into that frustration a couple of times too!
But I can't complain too much, the effects are incredible.

The way I have been able to run the effect on a single image is to first make sure the one image is closed. Then go to the scripts, choose the lomo effect, and select "choose image" This will allow you to find the single image that you want to apply effect to and do so.
Hope that helps.

Tim's right (as usual). The same process is required for the BorderIt scripts I think.

Yeah... I realized you could pick one image out that way, but I wanted to be able to do it while the image was pulled up with the others.... Too bad....

There is a new option to process only the currently active image (the one on the top) as of Lomo Effects v1.5 and BorderIT v1.6. Email support at nitorix dot com for a free upgrade.
