Full Version: Brilliant setting
OpenSourcePhoto > GetIt > Showit Effects

Ok I am confused with the Brilliant settings. I love them but how do I get the photograph back to the way it was shot with no xmp setting assigned to it?

I took some black and whites in the camera and accidently applied the Outdoor setting to them, and it changed them all to color photos. I was so confused. I did not know that RAW file kept all the color info as well.

Please help.

right click and choose camera raw defaults from the list. That should do it.

That does not work unfortunately. That was the first thing I tried. I know I can convert them back to B&W in PS but I shot them in B&W and would rather have my originals. These photos aren't that important so I did not back them up, but I don't want this to happen to any of my weddings or portrait shoots.

click image settings in settings in ACR....that sould get you back with what was there before you applied anything

Delete the XMP file associated with that image and the ACR cache for that directory. You might have to reset the defaults ACR settings if you've set it up to use brilliant as defaults so it won't try to apply brilliant when next viewed in bridge.

You can always convert using DPP or ZB/IB if all else fails.
