Hey guys, since it seems we lost a lot of the posts from this topic, I thought it might be helpful for us to list the sites you know of that offer royalty free music. So start listing!! biggrin.gif

This was posted elsewhere so maybe I'll list it here?

I found the actual link somewhere in OSP but I think it should be under here since its FREE!

The website is www.stock20.com and they have all types of music for different genres. I guess the way it works is the buddy referral system. I clicked on an OSPer's referral link which in turn got me 1 free song after signing up. And if someone else uses my referral link, they'll also get 1 free song! What great marketing! Site is legit too!

Here's my referral link:
Stock20.com creates high quality music for media production. If you create a free account using my referral link, they will give you a $7 store credit (which will get you one free song).

Click this link, then create a free account (it takes about a minute):

http://www.stock20.com/gvr.php?rc=65xl2nv5903asd5v2x

You will get a gift certificate by e-mail for $7 of in-store credit.

Note: You can be assured that Stock20.com will not give away your info. They send out one e-mail per month when they release their new songs.

Can't get any simpler than that. thumbsup.gif

I am a videographer, and I have used royalty free music from several companies. One is studiocutz.com. They sell individual songs and CDs. I have a few of them.
But my favorite music is from Digitaljuice.com. Their StackTraxx music can be rendered out with each instrument in its own track. Then, if you have even a basic audio program like Audacity, you can make your versions by mixing the different tracks(instruments) together. Or just use them as-is in full, :60, :30, and :15 lengths.

Royalty free? Not sure, but I have a couple of sites where I love to get some inependent stuff from.

Garage Band
Sound Click
Podsafe Music

Also, Creative Commons has a pretty good list of sites that use the Creative Common licenses on their music.

2 Great sites that we use for music licensing -

Magnatune

Rumblefish

You do have to buy specific licenses for what you will be using the song for - but they are fairly inexpensive and have a good variety of stuff - not just instrumentals that some of the other sites have.

Update: I'm listening to "Unborn Child" - it made me cry. I hate that! smile.gif
