Full Version: Swanky way to reward clients for referrals

Hello all,

I'd like to give past clients that referred me to a new client a thank you gift. It occured to me that a print credit might be nice. Has anyone done this, and if so, what's a classy way of doing it (i.e. more upscale that the crate-o'-thank-you-cards from Staples).

Thanks,

whe I get a referral, I thank them and ask them if they prefer iTunes or Amazon (and I also try to toss some business to them when I am booked)

Theyget an on-line gift card a few days later...

Credits can be shaky. I've just picked a really nice image that I know they really liked and make them a nice 11x14 or 16x20 of it. WHCC drop ships. Send them an email to say thanks and let them know they've got a package in the mail. We've done that with great success and the print is pretty inexpensive, and as it's large and will be hung up - thye'll be reminded of the gesture every time they see it.

That's a great idea, thanks! Do you have it mounted to board?

No, it's just the print - but I tell them in the email "I figured you'd be able to pick out a frame to suit your home better than I can" - and I'll let them know what size frame to use.

I do this for people other than just referrals though. It's a great way to say "thank you" for about $15 and it's got so much more percieved value than that to the client.

That's a damn fine idea. You're bang on - low cost, high percieved value.

<idea thieving>I think I'll try that for myself!</idea thieving>
