I currently have an inland marine policy with state farm. However my insurance guy was very suspicous on how much I really worked. This insurance covers part time.
So I also like to get the liability insurance, just in case. I understand many of you recommend Hill and Usher. Do you get a group discount if you belong to ppa or wppi, or is the fee's the same as if not a member?

So what do you pay with statefarm? Is this commercial inland marine policy or not?

NAME (the National Association of Mobile Entertainers) is nominally for DJs, but also accepts photographers. They have a good insurance company they work with. You have to be a member but even with the extra $100 it is better than I can get elsewhere, since it's designed for wedding photographers.

Interesting, I guess I am off to google their name and compare rates.
Thanks for help. Anyone else want to chime in?

Call Tom Pickard's Group Insure. They are highly reccommended along with Hill and Ushire.

I had state farm, and they were borderline scamming me and outrighted lied about the policy.

That looks good too. So on average do most of you pay about $500.00-600.00 a year for both equipment and liability insurance?

Just don't tell them that I sent you, otherwise they may charge you more!
