I've been a customer of WHCC for about a year now, I've been pretty happy with them until recently.
Last week, I placed an order for a 16x20 print on metallic paper. The print has sort of an antique feel, with desaturated color and sepia mixed together. I was so excited to get it back from them!!! But, once I got it back I was completley disappointed, the color is totally different from my monitor.
I called in and they thought maybe my calibration was off and said I should send in some test prints. Just being overly cautious, I sent in 6 photos (some B&W, some color and one of the same image mentioned above) to be printed as 8x10 test photos this week. I just got them back and am SO frustrated!
Some of the photos I sent in match my monitor perfectly - BUT some of them don't!!
One photo printed out super dark compared to my monitor, while another is right on. The test print of the 16x20 photo is even slightly different than the 16x20 version.
What in the world?!?! They're in their staff meeting right now, so I needed to vent. Sorry!
But, has anyone ever experienced color issues like this with a lab before? How in the world can this random color issue be resolved?
Thanks!

The'll make it right, they always do. And you might get a tootsie-pop out of it.
