I love them all!!! Seriously! I use b/w snappy, kev x-process, bronze god, tea stained, fuji snapit, magic sharp, and a couple of others I can't remember right now... ALL the time. I also love the digital fill flash and the paint in over exposure actions. Very helpful!

I guess I'm not much help! HA!

I'm in the same boat, I'm about to get art pack 2, but wondering if production pack 1 is worth it just for magic sharp or if the smarter sharpen in art pack 2 is good enough.

I use magic sharpen on all my images. Also a big fan of the daily vitamin. Couldn't live without 'em...
Fred Egan
I use actions in all three pretty consistently...tough choice.

I don't use production pack much, but all the art packs are worth every cent. I mean get than all! I use BW Warm Snappy like crazy, Lord Of The Rings I II and III, Hawaiian Punch

Oh where do I start??? w00t.gif BW Warm Snappy is amazing, I love the Lord of the Rings series, Kev xprocess is awesome...I also use the vignetting action a lot too on Jpgs....As far as the production pack I use the downsizing actions a lot for posting on the internet....I actually have an action built around one of them for making my borders for my blog! Get them all!!! biggrin.gif

Hey...

I have Artistic I & II and Productions. I love them ALL. In Productions, I use the sharpening Hi Pass a lot...KPD sharpen, and the lighten image by 1/3 stop 1/2 stop etc. Productions is worth it for the sharpening actions I think.... just a real natural sharpen.

As for Artistic I and II... Where do I begin? I use sooo many! Artistic I, KPD Hollywood, Fugi Snap it, the b/w actions, Artistic II, I use Multi Vitamin, LOTR (lord of the rings), Edge burn, Digital Fill flash, Smoothner and Makeup Artist......The list goes on and on. I really feel the pak of these 3 are SO worth the money. I bought all 3 of these as a set.... LOVE 'EM! Still learning about some of the actions and finding new combos to use. Endless ..... Get 'em. You'll love them too!

Just my thoughts.... thumbsup.gif

I have Artistic II and Kubota Mini Actions. I love them. Very useful and easy to use. Most work on 16 Bits. I use Daily Vitamins quite frequently and love the Lord of the Ring series.

I also use Yervant's actions and planning to buy some of Craig's Actions. I am also checking Boutwell's actions as well.

Get the combo pack with 1,2 and production. IMHO it's worth it for Magic Sharp, but there are some other neat production actions in there.
I didn't care for 3 that much.

I didn't knew he had actions. Worth a look.

I use his Cross Process and Magic Sharp. Every now and then I might use Radiance Landscape if the Cross Process makes the picture look too weird. I also like his Grainy B&W.

I have Production, Artistic I and Artisitc III. I am eventually going to go back and get II. I use Fuji Snapit on almost every color image. I only ever shot Fuji film and when I custom printed Fuji paper - I LOVE this action. I use BW via LAB for all b/w images and then boost the contrast. It gives a really nice silvery tone and doesn't loose the details. I love Chocolate Syrup and a little Sunglow. Backlight compensation can save an image way better than if I spent a long time working on it. The first images I made look fantastic with Backlight compensation made it worthwhile. I like KiYoko Punch for some fun images and Punch Lite for some that Fuji Snapit is a little much on.

I really want the Boutwell's actions, too.
Shan Renee
Ooh, that is tough. I would have to say that I use combo pack 1 the most...magic sharp, BW warm + snappy, and x-process.

Therese, I just found them to be multiple variations of the same effect. A very heavy yellow xprocess effect. I don't care for the look that much to begin with, so having 30 variations of it was a bit dissapointing. Now this is just my opinion - I see a lot of great images with that type of effect that look awesome, it's just not my style.

I see now that he has all 3 creative pack + production in one Combo Pack.

Check here for a look...

If I were to buy 1 pack, it would be Artistic Vol 1. I have 1, 2 and the Production Pak. I have seen 3, but it did not do too much for me. Vol 1. has fantastic B&W conversions, snap it, and cross processing.

ok.. all this talk about Kubota's magic sharp... anyone have a sample of before and after? i know [b] swears by it and no doubt his image is sharp sharp. but then again, [b] shoots by jpeg, so i am hoping someone who shoots raw and does a direct convert to jpg from bridge or whatever and then running the jpg with the KK Magic Sharp.

thanks~

i dont think viewing them on the web shows much difference, but in print i think it is noticeable.
