Hi all!

I haven't posted in such a LONG time, but I've been keeping up with what's goin' on here at the ever growning community of OSP! There has been SO much that I've learned since the first time I posted here almost a year ago now, I just want to thank all of you who contribute your experiences and wisdom so willingly to help the rest of us out. smile.gif

Thought I would just share a photo with you that I took yesterday evening of my good friend (who actually volunteered to be the model!). It was really fun, but freezing! She was so amazing, I couldn't believe how well she composed herself to look like it was a whopping 70 degrees instead of 20 somethin'! I really think she could get a job modeling if she wanted too. Anyway, there are more on my blog www.abigailsmithphotography.blogspot.com.

God Bless,

~Abby

Hi, Abby

That is a lovely photograph! Very nice. And yes, your model did fantastic ... awesome posing and expressiveness despite the challenging environment. Love your post-processing on this.

Oh it is breath taking! Absolutely beautiful smile.gif

Beautiful shot! Other than the ice, it looks like Spring! I would have a hard time smiling at 20 degrees!

I'm just about to go check out your blog. This image is amazing! Oh, and I love your avatar as well. I have a soft spot in my heart for pictures that don't show the subject's face. I don't know what it is! smile.gif
Abby Smith
Thanks for checking out my blog Jamie! Have you posted any pictures on here yet? I hope you decide to post some soon! smile.gif

I love your cropping on this! You've given enough of the background elements to make her the focus of the image. I really like the vintage feel to this. Very lovely!

Hey Nicole, actually this is what all I did in Adobe Bridge: I upped the temp A LOT and with everything else the slider was about in the middle besides the contrast being upped a lot too. Then I desaturated it to about 56, but you'll just have to play around with it a bit because I adjust it for almost every photo I use it on. thumbsup.gif

Erin, actually that dress was a bright blue originally, but it turned out perfect for that effect. smile.gif

Abby,

I love this!! You totally nailed it. What a great sport for her to wear that & go out & take pics!!
Abby Smith
Kayla,

You're absolutely right about her being a sport! Actually she was the one to come up with the idea to take pictures in this icy weather, and I just recommended that she wear the beautiful antique ballet dress that she had hanging up in her closet.
Jan Garcia
Beautiful. Looks like an ad for that dress. Just great!
Zack Arias
Wow. This image is stellar. I love the simplicity of it and the tone you achieved in Bridge. Thumbs up.

Cheers,
Zack

Thanks guys! I'm so excited about all of ya'll's comments and everything! wub.gif Do you think it would look very good as a canvas, I've never done one before because I wanted to wait for trying it out with the perfect picture. So, do you think it would work? unsure.gif

The color in that first shot is amazing!!!!! On a scale from 1-10... TWELVE!

Nice, thanks for tellin' I am going to try it. this pic looks like it could be in "REAL SIMPLE" magazine.
Abby Smith
Wow, thanks Kate, I hope you can figure out how to make those settings work for ya! And thanks Bobbi!
Scarlett Lillian

Abby--awesome image! (Is that ice??) I love the tonality you achieved in this. Your model is indeed lovely and a good sport! If this shot is like you wish--then yes! Make it a canvas! Millers Lab makes great ones and so does Simply Canvas...Best of luck to you!
