Hey peeps,

Some of my couples are interested in having these done and i'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for where to print them? My lab (natural color) has press printed postcards but it would cost me $80 for $100, and this seems a little high(?). But i'm not sure if someplace like vistaprint would be good for photo postcards in terms of print quality. Anyone have ideas?

I think the Vistaprint ones are a decent quality. You could also check out Mpix (and I'm blanking on the affiliated site now), and WHCC - don't know their prices off-hand, but have heard good things about them

We made our save the dates and used mpix. They turned out pretty nice and envelopes are included in the price. I forget prices, so I am not sure if it ends up any cheaper than your lab.

We use overnight prints for ours and have always been really happy with them. If you're interested, I can look back and see what we normally pay for them- I think usually we get around 100 (not positive though) We've been happy with them though and the quality is always great.

Mpix has them on sale. They're the consumer division of Millers lab. I've used them a couple of times & was pretty happy.

thanks for the leads everyone! I'll be sure to check them out ;-) *sheesh* does anyone else ever feel a bit overwhelmed? There are just so many options out there. labs, albums, online proofing....
somtimes I wish it were simpler and there were less choices!!!

We do all of our post cards via VistaPrint, as well as my business cards. They prices are just right. My husband gets about 5,000 postcards printed a year for an auto show that he runs and he does them all through VP.

I haven't tried the MPix ones yet, but have been interested

I agree. VistaPrint has great price and I was very impressed with their cards. I love glossy on postcards. They do a great job.

I use lumapix Fotofusion and make my own. My local lab provides the envelopes free of charge

I've used Vista Print for other stuff and it has been satisfactory. Sorry for this silly questions, but are the save-the-date cards for clients to use for guests or...?

It's not a silly question...... A "Save-The-Date" card is a way for the bride and groom to announce and inform their friends and loved ones of their up coming wedding day with all the information they want to reveal .......... Date, Wedding Website, Place, etc.

You can create your own card or you can use a template. It is usually stuck on the frig or somewhere obvious for a year or so. Make it purdy, it shows YOUR work also.

When creating the S-T-D card it is a great time to offer the custom guest signing book smile.gif

Here is an example of a save the date that I sent out for my own wedding. It is on a 5x7 postcard with a front and back. (I whited out the address, because I posted the same pics on theknot, don't mind the white boxes).
