I added a countdown to their wedding day at the bottom of the page and they love it... specially her ;-)... what do you think?

Feedback on the photos would be great too.

Thanks!

Rodolfo,

I love all of the photos, looks like such a fun couple and both are such good looking people smile.gif How did you add the countdown to the bottom? I think that is an awesome idea.

Ok, love the countdown too! You tossed it out there, no you've got to spill the beans on your magic. biggrin.gif

Great job, as always.

I have a question... Have you used the timer with other couples? I ask this because I was going to use this timer with a photo gallery and I got neg feedback on it from the families.

I think they didn't like the idea that just anyone would know the wedding date. Anyway, to each his own... Aren't you supposed to announce weddings? haha

So I was just curious about the feedback you've gotten from others, if any. I think it's a great, fun idea!

Hi Ricky,

You (or they) have a point. Just started using it but I'll make sure to let other couples know in advance just in case.

Every once in a while I get slapped in the face with things that are not important to me but are a big deal to others l ike this case.

Hey Mark,

It's a very simple piece of code. I'll post something later.

Thanks

Great idea with the count down script!

I did a view of your source and saw the script you added. Makes for a realyl cool feature no doubt....

Love the pics as well, good job - Laguna Beach is near by my home town. GREAT city to take pics.

Wish the best for the couple, good shoot.

Noted you kept it a clean show as well, nice fades VS the panning effect, good choice seem to flow nice.

Cheers,

Dave

Yeah, I decided to do my future slideshows (I even replaced some old ones) that way after seeing many of Lacour's slideshows and falling in love with them.

Thanks

That's a fantastic idea! Although I could see what Ricky was talking about, that some people may not like it. I love it and I think you could use it to create buzz for each wedding coming up. And when you post the wedding pics you can reverse the time to show how long they've been married.

Great location, wonderful shots. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the slide show. I would be curious to see how those beach shots looked in b&W.

I changed it to now show BEFORE 'days until our wedding day' and AFTER 'we have been married for'.
Two days before it'll show 'two days until our wedding day'
One day before it'll show 'tomorrow is our wedding day'
On the day of it'll show 'today is our wedding day'

So far couples love it... it works nice with Engagement Sessions in anticipation to the wedding date. Some told me they keep coming back just to check how many days they have left as single laughing.gif

Let me know if you need help implementing it to your slideshows thumbsup.gif

Wonderful idea! I really like it. Now, did you say you posted this code somewhere ???

That was my senior prom song 11 years ago. Brings back awkward memories. Great show though and I love the countdown!

I think that it is an awesome idea very cool. Having it show up on every image transition was a little much for me. I found it a little distracting. I think it would be better served as not part of the slideshow, somewhere near the title or something that way it is always there but not constantly flashing at you. thumbsup.gif
davidjay
Awesome - I love it! Also...don't forget you can now add in a preloading image so they have something to look at while the show is loading.

Yeah DJ! This was my first slideshow with the new version. I discovered the preloading image feature later on and I'm using it now. Great feature!
Here's one, BTW with another cool use I came up for ShowitWeb:
