Full Version: Wanna Trash a dress in New Zealand??

So I thought this was a cool idea (thanks Scarlett!!) so I went looking for a dress for my wife to model, and not only did I find one, I also found a couple of ex-brides (still married of course) that wanted to wear thier old dresses again and were willing to pay for a couple of shots.

So I took it a bit further and found a florist who would like to get some images of flowers for advertising (free flowers) and a hair/mua that was after some images for thier website and would contribute also (free again).

So i took it a wee bit further and may have found a vintage car club that wanted some images for thier site and a resteraunt that also wanted some images.

So I was a little scared to take it that step further and find a hotel room, but I'm sure it could be done! biggrin.gif

So any way - next Tuesday 23rd - In Wellington NZ, my wife will model a wedding dress, and then the following week on Tuesday or Wednesday I have another one booked.

Any takers??

This IS fun!!!! (and it's amazing what you can do if you think about it)

WOW! Thats such an awesome idea. I didn't think to ask other vendors if they wanted in on the action. OF COURSE they will all want to be since its such a new idea for them. I bet they all get those boring bride-in-the-park shots and would love to have something that would STAND OUT!

I'll have to do some idea pitching!

Great thinking, man! One of my best friends just moved back to NZ (Christchurch, then Nelson) ... I'm hoping to be out there next winter (your summer). Looks like such an amazing place!

Great idea! Have you thought of asking Silver Stream Railway in Upper Hutt, or Steam Inc in Paekakariki? You could have a bride driving a steam loco....

well well, so I could . . . are you local? biggrin.gif

A cold southerly blew up today (good for the surfing, not so good for my poor wife), so we postponed to next week.

No, unfortunately I live in London! wacko.gif

I lived in Wellington years ago, I really should go back...

There was an abandoned coal mine on the West Coast I visited once, It was deserted - ruined buildings and rusty machinery slowly being reclaimed by nature. That would have been a good location! Or, how about traminping in the Tararuas?

thats the one thing about here - you don't have to go far for awesome locations - my avatar is my front yard biggrin.gif

Yeah, you've got to drive 200 miles to get to the countryside in London! laughing.gif
I used to look out and see snow capped peaks.. now all I see is another house wacko.gif

And then there's the thermal areas.... How about a dress trashing in a "lunar landscape"?
