I can't even begin to tell you how excited, encouraged, and motivated I was to see two of our members win awards from the Wedding Photo-Journalist Association!

THE MUSICMAN IS THE MAN! He won at least two awards and was even able to win an award with a shot that I'm in! That takes a huge extra effort!!!

STACEY KANE, who's work I'm in awe of, also won a couple of awards! So be sure to log in and check it out!!!

My pics were both in the section under the portraits of the groom. The 2nd place one got 2nd place only because DJ was in it.

So you mean you should have gotten 1st place.

Nope. DJ's magical presence propelled that image from 18th place to 2nd.

I just returned home from a much needed girls' weekend away and was very pleasantly surprised (shocked is more like it!) to find that I had placed with some images in the competition. Can't tell you how excited I am to finally get that medallion next to my name!

Congrats Chris and Stacey! All the images were quite captivating. They were all so real, it felt as if I was actually there...that's what I love about photojournalism!

How did you become members...just with the online application? Do you have an email for the association...I can't seem to find it online.

They are redoing their website so things might be a bit difficult to find but it's a great organization to be a part of. So many talented PJ's - I'm always inspired when I hit up their website and see all the latest work!
