What's the diff between this and the newer ones? I don't generally work with flash but I think I need to learn how to... even though 5D is awesome in low light, for a lot of movement I think I need flash right?

You'll definitely need a flash in certain situations, especially receptions.

I recommend the 580EX - It's better to have more power and flexibility.

Thanks for your reply Sean. I really don't use flash in general since I do mostly outdoor shoots and as of yet to do a wedding... was seeing if I even need to invest now or work with what I have.... there's so many other things I want, I mean NEED.
