OK so this will be my first official new thread that I have started and I am putting up some of my own pics to boot:) so heres a couple of links to a wedding I photographed in florida in december... these are some of the wedding album pages I created in lumapix fotofusion

and this last one I am not so sure about the layout... its simple and clean, but somehow I don't think it delivers as much as the previous two

First things first, I have to be honest and say that your photographs need some work. I can see the potential in what you're doing, but.. the execution needs some work. In your first layout (page#5) the lighting is so harsh - looks like the flash was pointed directly at them and powered up pretty high, I would try to get a more natural look and bounce your flash off the ceiling.

On the 2nd link (page#2) there's a wierd thing goin on here. The smaller photo is sharp and in focus, and the larger background photo looks soft, underexposed and out of focus. The layout is a little weird too - 1 very small picture slapped right on top of a larger picture with no apparent flow.

The photos on the last page are much better, but look a little overprocessed to me. The layout of the page is nice, but.. had a hard time finding a reason to like the tilted pictures, and the overall layout is kind bland.

Maybe you could spend some time browsing through the Album Layout section of this forum and get an idea of what others are doing - could be some good inspiration.

Please don't take my words too harsh, just trying to be honest. smile.gif

Thanks I was wondering if it was my monitor (just got a new one a month ago) or just how they looked online.... because they printed fine.... I will investigate further....
they were all shot with bounced flash so I doubt its my original images..... more likely my post processing..... but I will look into both
thanks for the feedback:)

so I just did some tests on my monitor and the gamma is way out of alignment.... I am going to try to fix it with my spyder.... anyone else have any tricks they use to make sure what they see is correct?

and any other feedback on layout suggestions?
