I got this email today! I am not sure what to make of it. I think it is a scam. No contact number provided and he is from another country unsure.gif Would would you think and would you even respond? And then of course the obvious spelling errors, not that mine is perfect blink.gif


Am Davis Smith, It’s my pleasure to invite you to my sister’s wedding ceremony which is going to take place at Target United Methodist Church, Holly Hill South Carolina 29051 USA on Febuary 13th 2007, please let me know if your company will be available on this date to take the coverage and every necessary things on that day.

So if you will be avaAilable on that on that day, let us know and let us know your package for 8 hours, presently am not in the state but it’s my duty to take care of this part that’s why, I have to contacted you. Let me know if you can receive your payment with a CERTIFIED CASHIER CHEQUE OR MONEY ORDER from my client in the states.

Congratulations!! You have been identified as a profesional photographer! Many on this forum feel that their first scam mail is a rite of passage to being a professional.

Whether you reply is up to you, but do not cash any checks they send you. Most people ignore them. Some people (none that i know of on this forum) decide to help stop them from scamming other people by keeping them busy with silly tasks (such as filling out unusually long and obviously fake contracts, asking them to send photos, and some even invent creative ways to make them embarrass themselves and get it on camera...those are considered trophies)

probably should just delete it though wink.gif sorry it wasn't a real lead!

Thanks for the replies. That is what I thought and will not waste my time to reply. It just aggravates me that stuff like this happen and that they get away with it smashpc.gif
