I have struggled with this alot...
I shoot in RAW, and produce these gorgeous, vibrant images, and when I go to compress them to JPG, it's a toss up whether or not they'll come out looking the same or not. Some days, they look great, and others, they look blander and blah. Also, when I put then in Showit Web, they also look a little bland too. Is there a program out there that compresses more acurately, or do I just have to deal with it? Or maybe it's just a web issue (web colors, etc)? I see some great images online that are vibrant and bold, (mine start out that way!) - but I can't seem to figure it out!

Thanks!

how are you compressing? I don't care for save for web that much, so I gnerally do a resize via image size and convert to sRGB and then save as jpeg med to high quality

i just save as.... (from my RAW files) - "JPG" - high quality. maybe it's just the web i'm having issues with - it just seems to take a lot away from these gorgeous files! are there any tricks to getting them to stay vibrant in the save process?!?!

if its in a color space outside of sRGB they will appear dull. easy to do with adobeRGB or PROphoto
