Ok I'm still a little new to the whole myspace thing. If I want to embed a showit web slideshow do I just copy and paste the embed code where I want it to go...like in the "about me" section?

Also, what size is best...medium or small???

Any other advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

yes you copy and past the code, but I have had issues with posting slideshows on myspace. I was able to post them on xanga, but on myspace it would just be a blank area. Not sure what I did wrong.............. so I'm currious the answer too thumbsup.gif

Not surprised...I think myspace has issues overall.

Just realized there is no "medium" size setting, so I guess I'll try the small. Wish me luck.

Well...so far I'm also just getting a blank space.

Any ideas? Anyone?

The code generated by showit needs some tweaking. I am not sure whether I saw the tweak on OSP (prior to the crash) or on the showit forums.

I will research this and post something tonight if you are still having problems. I am at work right now. sad.gif

Thanks Aaron,

If it helps, this is the code I'm trying to use:

embed allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.bentleygray.net/myspace/showitms.swf?showit_path=http://www.bentleygray.net/myspace/" quality="best" WIDTH="360" HEIGHT="270" NAME="showit" align="top" wmode="transparent" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed

without the <> at the beginning and end of course.
Aaron
<embed allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" src="http://www.geocities.com/anelsonthompson/Leslie/showit.swf?bgIn=000000&showit_path=http://www.geocities.com/anelsonthompson/Leslie/" width="305" height="300"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></EMBED>

Maybe you can spot the difference.
Let me know how you work it out. I need to do another one and don't remeber what I did.

Thanks Aaron...it's working now.

I just copied your code and changed the slideshow links to mine. It's still not perfect, but at least you can see it now.

Thanks!
