Hi DJ

I am interested in getting Gino's DVD's. I heard that you are goiing to start offering these in your e-store. Can you tell me if you are going to offer them and if so when will they be online?

Thank you. thumbsup.gif

Not sure where you are going with that- but I have the DVD's, and they are very good. Certainly worth the money.

Hey Mark, I just checked out the trailers and I need to invest in some DVDS before the season kicks off. Are the really worth it and is it advanced to mid level info or basics?

People who dwell in the past however miss the future. Let's move toward that, eh?

basic to mid level. I have the 1st two DVD's. He takes you thorugh a real life shoot, (pre-wedding bride and groom shots, wedding, and reception). Gino is a creative photographer- so I just enjoyed watching him on a live shoot. The trailers give a good feel for what the video's are about.

Thanks for that. Very glad to hear it. Vol 1 and 2 is you walking with me through 2 complete Weddings, I have laid down a commentary track over the entire thing so viewers will know what I do and why I do and what my thinking is behind it.

The feedback thusfar has been that its extremely effective in teaching and from what ive seen from the people who have the DVDs series or have been to one of my workshops, they have been much improved.

Is that really necessary? What positive contribution is it? The only time I can recall seeing you here on OSP was to plug your new workshop and now to knock another photographer.

This is a forum for nice people.

It's the Susan/Karen show! If you want to "coincidentally" tag team some nasties on another photographer why not just keep that stuff to your own forum where you do it all the time!

I heven't seen Gino's DVDs but there seems to be a lot of positive reaction from those that have.

This forum is for nice photographers.

Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.

Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.

Lotsa props to G for not lowering himself to their level and I'm stoked that Rick and I have a point to agree on. smile.gif

Rick, let me apologize to you for us getting off to a bad start with the Showit Web vs Fotomagico stuff. I think we could go back and forth forever but I do apologize for making it more personal than it needed to be.

I think there's people who will enjoy each product and I wish you the best.

DJ,

I suspect that we'll have more and more to agree on as we get to know each other better.

No apology necessary for the "healthy" debate on the products. Both are excellent. The personalizing of it is old news and I've forgotten it. Same thing for the stuff directed at me on your blog in the "outsourcing" debate. I'll carry a grudge only for one individual's behavior and it wasn't you my friend.

When are you coming down to the OC PUG again? It'd be nice to catch up with you again.

Have a blast at PPA and wow 'em with your presentation which I am sure you will!

OK, try "Country Bumpkin"

Or

"Village Idiot"

Or

you get the point ....... smile.gif

You UK guys have some strange slang too. I was traveling with a representative of a UK company. We were demonstrating his product to color labs. We were in Texas. After we finished giving his demo to a group of 20 lab cuties (they sure are cute in Texas!) he asked for questions. When he was done he looked over at me and said smiling "Well, I guess the only thing left to do is whip it out!"

The giggles were hilarious and I almost busted a gut laughing. Confused, he asked me what was so funny and explained that "Whipping it out" was a UK term for unplugging his machine.

Gotta love language.

Okay. I'm sorry if you feel I was only here to promote myself and "knock someone". I was asked to post my seminar information on OSP by other photographers and felt it might be helpful if anyone was interested. I wasn't trying to "knock anyone", just to see if this Gino was the Gino I remembered from the DWF and other places because since seeing him there over a year ago I hadn't encountered him on any other forums, etc.

It would be nice, if this forum really is full of "nice people" if those people would give the benefit of the doubt and not read all posts for vicious content.

And for those of you who have never visited Karen Simmons' forum, it feels like a very nice place to me, else I can't believe that people would frequent it. It's a good resource, just like this board is and like the DWF is.

I see that this thread might not be the best place for me so I will respectfully bow out of it and see you all on other threads in the future! Thanks much!

Exactly!! I just got done watching the first video myself and I gotta say - it's fun being along for the ride. It is great that we can "jump on in" to a Gino wedding. I want to watch the 2nd before I give my full review - maybe even watch them a couple of times before I do - but at this point I have to say it's definitely worth what you will pay whether here or on the site at http://www.digitalweddingpro.com

It wasn't an issue of not getting around to it... Gino has had to put the possibility of us selling the DVDs on hold while he works on some potential deals. Sorry!

To purchase the DVDs you can find them on www.digitalweddingpro.com

The DVDs are available to whoesalers. Unfortunately we do have a minimum amount that needs to be purchased for any substantial discounts.

Thanks for looking!

Glad to hear it!!

I will post a trailer to my latest DVD which is 100% lighting and flash techniques.

This DVD was the most requested one by literally hundreds of photographers who have emailed me over the past few years. So....its here!

Why did it take me over a year to do it? Ive been shooting! camera.gif (6 countries this year!)

As fun (and profitable) it has been for our DVDs, its not my 1st love to teach, im extremely pleased with the awesome response our series has gotten but nothing pleases me more than being behind the camera. Hence the reason for only 1 workshop a year.

Stay tuned and thanks for your continued support and appreciation and to DJ for supporting Higher Learning and keeping sites like this going.
